No. Canton Zug has no central entrance examination comparable to Zurich's ZAP. Admission to the Zug Gymnasium runs through the cantonal Übertrittsverfahren: school marks, the class teacher's assessment, a conversation with parents, an Abklärungstest where the picture is unclear, and a decision by an Übertrittskommission. An entrance test for the Langzeitgymnasium went to consultation in 2024 and the debate continues, so confirm the rule for the year your child transfers. If your child attends school in canton Zurich, the ZAP does apply to them.

The main ones are ISZL's Zug Campus in Baar (IB Primary Years and Middle Years, Early Years to Grade 8), ISZL's Riverside Campus in Hünenberg (IB Diploma, Grades 9 to 12), Institut Montana Zugerberg (Cambridge IGCSE in Grades 9 and 10, IB Diploma in 11 and 12, plus a Swiss Gymnasium track with the Matura and bilingual Matura) and SIS Swiss International School Rotkreuz-Zug (bilingual German-English, ages 3 to 16). The cantonal route runs through Kantonsschule Zug and Kantonsschule Menzingen.

From age 11, a school subject is Specialist at CHF 95 — IB Higher Level included. True-beginner German or French at CEFR A1–A2 is Foundation at any age, including for an adult. Distinction at CHF 130 is not a level above them: it is our most accomplished tutors, and you can choose it on any work, whatever your child is studying.

Yes. Every tutor teaches in English as a minimum, and German-language delivery is arranged on request — which matters in Zug, where one sibling is often at ISZL in English and another at the communal school in German. Inside that, a shorter clock protects the rate you paid — one month on a 5-hour package, two on a 10-hour, three on a 20-hour — and it pauses over canton Zug's school holidays, on the cantonal calendar rather than a generic Swiss one. When the rate window closes nothing is taken: the hours you have had are recalculated at the standard rate and the balance stays on your account for the rest of the year.
